Lois McMaster Bujold

Lois McMaster Bujold was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1949. She attended Ohio State University from 1968 to 1972. The Curse of Chalion, was published in 2001 and won the Mythopoeic Award for best adult fantasy. Its sequel, Paladin of Souls, won a Romantic Times 2003 Reviewers’ Choice Award for best fantasy novel, the Locus award for best fantasy novel, and the Hugo Award for best novel. All of her titles have been translated into fourteen languages (so far).

Alice Borchardt

Alice Borchardt shared a childhood of storytelling with her sister, the bestselling novelist Anne Rice, in New Orleans. A professional nurse, she has also nurtured a profound interest in little-known periods of history. She published her debut novel, ‘Devoted’, in 1995.

Marion Zimmer Bradley

Marion Zimmer Bradley is the creator of the popular Darkover universe, as well as the critically acclaimed author of the bestselling ‘The Mists of Avalon’ and its sequel, ‘The Forest House’. She lives in Berkeley, California.

Clive Barker

Clive Barker was born in Liverpool in 1952. His earlier books include ‘The Books of Blood’, ‘Cabal’, and ‘The Hellbound Heart’. In addition to his work as a novelist and playwright, he also iilustrates, writes, directs and produces for stage and screen. His films include ‘Hellraiser’, ‘Hellbound’, ‘Nightbreed’ and ‘Candyman’. Clive lives in Beverly Hills, California.
